UG Research Excellence Award - Computer Science and Engineering

To encourage students to take interest in research at early-stage augurs well for the institution in building a robust research pool of talented students. IIT Hyderabad (IITH) proposed to set up an Award for "Research Excellence" to be given annually for one B.Tech student in the Computer Science and Engineering department who is excellent in research area during their academic period.

The amount required to set up the endowment is Rs. 5.0 Lakhs ($ 7,000). The chosen awardee will be given an award money of Rs. 25,000 and a citation.

Selection Criteria

  1. IITH will set up a process of inviting applications, evaluating the applicants and choosing the winner, through a committee.
  2. The donor can name the endowment.
  3. A committee of eminent faculty from IITH will be formed who will evaluate the entries and determine the Best B.Tech student in research area.
